Judge Verna A. Adams, appointed to the bench in 1999, earned her bachelor's degree from Wellesley College and law degree from Stanford University.

Judge Terrence R. Boren, appointed to the bench in 1995, earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and law degree from Hastings College of Law.

Judge Roy O. Chernus, elected to the bench in 2010 with his term starting in 2011, earned his bachelor's degree from George Washington University and law degree from New York Law School. He served as a Court Commissioner from 2005 until his judicial term commenced in 2011.

Judge James T. Chou, appointed to the bench in 2010, earned his bachelor's degree from University of California at Berkeley and a law degree from University of California at Davis.

Judge Faye D'Opal, elected to the bench in 2004, with her term starting January 2005, earned her bachelor's degree from Hendrix College in Arkansas and law degree from the New College of California, San Francisco.

Judge Beverly K. Wood, appointed to the bench in 2013, earned her bachelor's degree from University of California at Berkeley and law degree from University of San Francisco School of Law. She served as a Court Commissioner for eight years prior to her elevation by Governor Brown.
