Please note that a payment by personal check will delay DMV release of a hold on driver’s license and/or registration for ten (10) calendar days. To ensure that the hold on driver's license and/or registration is released within 24 hours, individuals must pay by cash, cashier's check, money order or credit or debit card. The Court will grant an automatic 30-day extension of time to pay, as long as the request for the extension was received before the due date on the courtesy notice. To avoid waiting in line, individuals may drop off many kinds of documents and payments in our secure Express Service Drop Box, located in the lobby of Room C-10. This locked box is emptied several times a day by Court staff to ensure that transactions are processed on the day they are dropped off. The public is encouraged to use our Express Service for the following kinds of transactions. PLEASE PRINT name and case number on the envelope provided.
