Individuals who want to plead 'guilty' to a citation but are requesting some special consideration from
the Court may attend walk-in traffic court. Typically, individuals go to court to arrange for payment
plans longer than 90 days, request traffic school when they are not otherwise eligible, or provide other
information to the court about the circumstances pertaining to the citation.
This court hearing is called "walk-in" because individuals do not need to schedule their appearances ahead
of time. For the public's convenience, this is a drop in court session.
Registration for walk-in traffic court is on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday, except holidays, between 8:00 a.m.
and 9:00 a.m. The court session begins at 10:00 a.m. on those days. A Spanish language interpreter is usually
available at this court session.
No person shall appear in court unless wearing appropriate attire. Shorts and tank or halter tops
are not considered by the Court to be proper courtroom attire. Pagers, cell phones and other electronic
devices must be turned off during court.
Individuals must bring their citations or courtesy notices to court, along with any other information they
wish to present.
